We were asked to create a frame for this Mudwig / Daniel Sparkes plate that had the aesthetic of the era from which the artwork takes inspiration.

After discussing with the artist, we decided on the classic look of American Black Walnut with contrasting Maple wood corner splines and a lacquer finish. The mount and glazing spacers have been custom wrapped in a selected linen.

Museum Optium arcylic glazing has been used in this frame. It is incredibly scratch resistant, strong and nearly invisible in normal lighting conditions, the quality of this glazing by Tru Vue is notable by its apparent absence.
