Photographs from Sam Fordham‘s latest project C-R92/BY, have been selected to be shown in the prestigious Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2019 exhibition and it is a pleasure for us to work with him on the framing of his photographs for the exhibitions at the Leeds Art Gallery and South London Gallery.

We produced a number of finish options for Sam to compliment the image and decided on european oak with a bespoke mixed dark tone stain with a polished hand wax finish. We agreed that these materials gave a sense of tradition but in a modern framing style that Sam required. The inner glazing spacers have been machined precisely to fit and finished with the same stain as the outer frame and continue right up to the image for a seamless aesthetic with a beautiful result.

The image seen here, I Just Want To Know My Daughter Better, 2018 can be seen at the New Contemporaries show at the Leeds Art Gallery from 14th September – 19th November 2019, it then travels to the South London Gallery from 6th December 2019 – 23rd February 2020. More to follow on that one…

UPDATE: We are very pleased to say Sam’s framed work has been acquired for the Government Art Collection.
